🎨 Correct Curing Methods for Polymer Clay
(※ Polymer clay does not contain water and cannot be air-dried. It must be cured using one of the following heating methods to harden!)

1️⃣ Oven Baking Method (Highly Recommended! Best Durability & Perfect Color)

This is the best way to achieve the finest detail and maximum hardness, suitable for projects of all sizes.
Temperature: Set between $110℃~130 (Never exceed $150 to avoid burning and smoking).
Time: Bake for about 15 minutes for pieces under 1 cm in thickness. For thicker pieces, extend the baking time accordingly (e.g., 20–30 minutes).
Pro-Tip: Standard household toaster ovens often have uneven temperature distribution, so using an "oven thermometer" is highly recommended for precise monitoring. When baking, tent a layer of aluminum foil loosely over your piece to protect it from direct heat from the upper heating elements, preventing it from scorching or turning black.

2️⃣ Home Boiling Method (Safest! The Best Alternative Without an Oven)

When a temperature-controlled oven is unavailable, this is the safest and most foolproof option for beginners and children.
Steps: Prepare a pot of cold water, place your polymer clay project into the water, and bring it to a boil.
Time: Once boiling, turn the heat down to low to maintain a gentle simmer and cook for 10 to 20 minutes (depending on the thickness of the piece).
Pro-Tip: After turning off the heat, do not take the piece out immediately! Leave the piece in the pot and let it "cool down naturally" as the water temperature drops. Rapid temperature changes can easily cause the polymer clay to crack.

3️⃣ Heat Gun Method (Only Suitable for Small, Flat Pieces)

This method is only recommended if your project is very small (such as earrings, flat charms, or small accessories under 1–2 cm) and you have a "craft-specific high-temperature heat gun."
Steps: Turn on the heat gun and maintain a distance of 10–15 cm from the piece. (※Note: Standard hair dryers do not reach the required temperature or airspeed and cannot cure polymer clay.)
Time: Blow evenly across the piece using a "circular, waving motion" for 5 to 10 minutes.
Pro-Tip: The air from a heat gun is highly concentrated and extremely hot. Keep your hand moving constantly while heating. Avoid blasting a single spot continuously, otherwise the surface may blister or burn while the inside remains uncured.

⚠️ Curing Facts:

When polymer clay is fresh out of the oven or boiling water and still warm, it will feel slightly flexible and soft. This is completely normal—do not mistake it for being under-baked and blindly extend the heating time! Let the piece rest and cool down completely. Once fully cooled, the polymer clay will reveal its true hardness and perfect texture!

⚠ Precautions for Use:

Clean Your Hands: Wash your hands thoroughly before using polymer clay to keep the original colors clean and vibrant.
Prevent Sticking: Apply a small amount of hand cream to your hands to prevent the clay from sticking, making it easier to sculpt.
Color Order: Work with colors from lightest to darkest sequentially. This ensures that lighter colors do not get contaminated by darker residues.
Conditioning the Clay: Fully knead and condition the polymer clay before sculpting to soften it, making it easier to shape. If the clay feels too soft or sticky during kneading, add a tiny bit of baby powder, let it sit for a moment, and then continue working.
Proper Storage: When not in use, it is recommended to wrap the polymer clay tightly in plastic wrap and store it in a cool, dry place for future use.

⚠Precautions for use

1. Before using the soft clay, please wash your hands first, so as to keep the original color of the soft clay.
2. You can apply some hand cream to make the soft pottery not easy to stick to your hands and easy to make.
3. When using soft clay, the color should be from light to dark one by one, so as not to stain the light color.
4. The soft clay should be fully kneaded to soften it before shaping, so that it is easier to shape the work, but when you feel that the clay is soft or sticky during kneading, you can add some talcum powder and let it sit for a while before using it.
5. When not using soft clay, it is recommended to wrap it with plastic film and place it in a cool place for future use.
